Vista - Windows Service Pack 2 - Windows Update?

Hi,

Yes I just got a new computer and I'm running Vista Home Premium x64-bit and I have updated all the updates from Windows Update. I was wanting to know why Service Pack 2 is not showing up on it? Or do you have to download it yourself?
Do you have to have IE8 installed then you can download SP2?

I don't know answer on your question but...it without any meaning just download & install SP2 from Microsoft Download Center Download available for Standalone Vista SP2

are u finding your windows is up to date in windows update window?

I thing u need to install some updates prior to sp2
