Vista - Help Plz with Windows SP1

Hello

I installed SP1 on my Home Premium Build 6001 computer from Microsoft site. Today it asked for Activation key. Now my computer shows a blank black screen with a window asking for Activation key. What shall I do?

If this is a computer that you bought from some manufacturer, then there is normally a sticker on the back(desktop) or bottom (lappy) of the computer with the activation number. Info should be in the manual.

I bought Windows Premium and installed it with the activation key. After installing SP1 it asked for the activation key. I used the same activation key and it is said it is already used. The other problem is that it says that my Windows is not genuine. Any help?

Call Microsoft and have them sort it out.

I had a similar problem once. Try a phone activation. More info here if needed: Activate Vista by Phone
It was relatively painless for me. Hope it is for you too.
