Vista - Vista Update Error 80070424

Hi there,

when running windows update on my Vista x64 OS I receive the following error:

Windows could not search for new updates
Error(s) found:
Code 80070424

I UNsuccessfully tested all the KB solutions I could find on MS support as well as those proposed on the forums including:

running regsvr32.exe wuaueng.dll

Which does NOT work for x64

Reading from my x64 compatriate posts it seems Microsoft has left it's x64 community in the lure in providing a solution.

The answer is not easy -the same WU error maybe cause by different reasons.It maybe trouble with BITS,Windows Installer,Windows Update or Windows Modules Installer trouble -last time there are full these error caused by Windows Modules Installer damaged -read exactly this post:http://www.vistax64.com/1088791-post8.html

Exactly explain whats happens now I even don't know exactly what you did.Do you have the still the same error message?If yes make log from VistaForum SysInfo Tool VistaForums SysInfo Tool
(select all in this tool) and log attache to post.
