Windows Vista Ultimate Backup computer help

currently i have been trying to backup my computer using complete backup on my windows vista ultimate but every time i try when i click the button it says

" (X) The backup application could not start due to an internal Error:
The specified service does not exist as an installed service. (0x80070424)
Please check your system configuration and try again. "

i hope the description helps.

and i do have all the updates, unless there is one that isnt labled (Important) that i dont have does any one know which one it is?

it just telling you there is something wrong with the backup service. do yu have an extra hard drive to save the backup too?

could you type services.msc in search and look for the backup service and tell me if it is there and if it is started (in auto, manual, or delayed)?

I attached to post wbengine.reg packed in zip format;download,upack it import to registry + restart.If you still will have the same issue make this:

1.Make sure you have wbengine.exe in C:\Windows\System32 -if not you have to extract this file from Vista DVD
2.Make log from VistaSysInfoTool VistaForums SysInfo Tool (select all) and log attache to post

Problems fixed thanks, for giving me the registry and that other post u gave me with the steps helped allot after i got it
