| Vista Home Premium 64bit | .NET Framework Update errors. My computer has recently tried to update my .NET Framework files with the Updates, Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 Security Update (KB953297) and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847). I have gotten the Code 603 error for the first, and Code 80070645 error for the latter. I did a clean reinstall of .NET Framework 1.1, and don't even have 3.5 installed. Only 1.1 is installed, as I tried fixing this yesterday with clean re-installs, but lost knowledge of which versions I had. Ever since these problems have been occurring, in programs such as X-Fire and the WoW Startup menu, I have been getting the boxes with the shapes inside them, in places where there should be adds, avatars, and other pictures. I've only seen it in those 2 programs so far. So, would it be safer for me to just install every .NET Framework from 1.1 up and their corresponding service packs? Or is there an easier fix? I did restart after removal, and after the download of .NET Framework 1.1. Thanks for any and all help! |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: .NET Framework Update errors. Well, I got the .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 Security Update to go away by a manual install of it, however, the 3.5 Update is 2 updates in one. So I tried updating the 3.5 SP1 Update manually. The download itself completes, but then during installation, once it's finished, it says setup error. Going to now try and download the Family Update, and I'll report back with the results, once again thanks a ton for all the help. |

It's now only with 3.5 issue I can suspect you need only perfect tool to remove 3.5 (through Control Panel>>Program and Features you can't perfect remove Net Framework) Remove again 3.5 using NET Framework Cleanup Tool Aaron Stebner's WebLog : .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User's Guide and again install 3.5 and their hotfixes |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: .NET Framework Update errors. Cannot thank you enough, my computer is now fully up to date once again. Suggestions to those having similar issues, search the KB# of the failing update on Microsofts Download Center: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx and do a manual install. Once again thank you! |
