| vista home premium sp1 32 bit | Configuring Updates Fails My sons laptop is currently stuck at the screen "Configuring updates: Stage 3 of 3 - 0% complete. Do not turn off your computer." It has been like this over that last hour or so. It keeps rebooting to the same screen. I have turned it off and tried safe mode, goes to the same screen. I have the reinstallation dvd for this laptop. What do I need to do to attempt recovery of the OS and will any data he has be kept or will it be lost? |

| vista home premium sp1 32 bit | Re: Configuring Updates Fails Got the problem fixed. The Dell reinstall disk had a system restore that got the laptop back to a previous point. So all is well now. Thanks |
