help i am trying to update my vista 32 bit and when the program is searching for a update, i get the error code and it says " windows update encountered an unknown error." code 80070424 please help me solve my problem

If described steps are too hard to follow then please prepare log from VistaSysInfoTool (select all) VistaForums SysInfo Tool

i've tried that but it still does not work i've tried it two times already i'm pretty sure thtas not the problem

Describe exactly which one scenario do you have?Is going on about TrustedInstaller?

If yes prepare log from VistaSysInfoTool

and question:

Do you have TrustedInstaller.exe file in C:\Windows\Servicing folder?

Many people I don't know mistake two files TrustedInstaller.exe and TrustedInstaller.reg -you need both files to fix

TrustedInstaller.exe - system process file
TrustedInstaller.reg -fix to registry to restore Windows Modules Installer in services list

I don't give you universal solution because it isn't.There are three different options of this error and if you want to help you I must know which ones services exist,working or not -thus I need log from VistaSysInfoTool
