I have recently formated my laptop, as I am looking to sell it. So I used my recovery disc, which has reinstalled windows vista basic.
Here's the problem:
When I bought the laptop, i upgraded to home premium using the aytime update (where the file was available via digital locker). But since this has expired I am unable to re-download the update.
I have since tried installing using my brothers home premium disc, however when I enter the serial (from my previous upgrade), it says that the serial is for upgrades only - and not clean installations.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the upgrade file again? I tried one of the downloads on the support pages - but it didnt recognise my product code - as it was an upgrade code.
