Vista - Problom installing SP 2

I downloaded Vista SP2 (Full Package) off Microsoft's site but when I try to install it it get's stuck about half way through and just sits there with no progress for well over a hour. I have been keeping windows updated.

My OS is Vista Ultimate 34-bit.

Can anyone help me?

Are you sure that you need it and its the right SP for your platform (bit)? Anything needed should come via automatic update.

I installed a large number of additional languages beforehand and when I tried to download SP2 when it first came out (through auto updates) it didn't work and I had to revert back to just before I installed it. Did they change it so the auto update one supports more additional languages?

Why dont you give MS a call. This problem which I can not solve, may have been seen and resolved, already, by MS.

In the meantime, you cannot do anything, until tomorrow. Wait, someone else with more expertise in this area may post.

I hope this gets resolved to your satisfaction.

First try uninstall all extra language pack and next try install SP2 standalone version again.
