:sa: I am so sick & tired of playing here we go round the bloody mulberry bush with MS, HP, Vista and the man in the moon! I tried to install

Security Update Windows Vista for x64 (KB973768) dated 9/8/2009
Update for Windows Mail Junk Mail Filter for x64 dated 1/12/2010

I get this when I try to install them.

Error 80073701 Unknown error encountered and when I hit Get help with this error I get the Windows H&S idiots who give me a whole bunch of crap which does not work either! Can somebody at least tell me what the error code means? Which disk does update use or can I choose the disk myself?

This is the 12th forum I have posted this question on and nobody seems to know a damned bloody thing!! In the meantime my Firefox 3.5.6 browser crashes, freezes up, hangs up, stops, shuts down systems, etc. and in addition I can no longer post in the forums at Anime Online although I could in December of 2009! WHY???

Anyone? Anyone at all? How about you know-it-all bozos at MS? Can't anybody help me at all? I am at my wit's end over this bull! Thanks and have a nice weekend- K&K in Brookhaven PA-USA

Do not expect too much from anybody because nobody know exactly this error means.
Poeple says different even contradictory things:Issue with NET Framework, another update installation in progress or hardware issue.

Yes I can try to solve your problem but I can't promise I'll find solution because I'm not God or at least any grand wizard.
