Heres the situation, apparently im missing 9 updates from SP1 that cannont be installed. I then looked at my System Information and noticed that my vista is SP1
Ð, and I was confused. I cannot uninstall sp2 to reinstall it. Ive tried through Programs and Setting, I've tried through command line, I've tried through the standalone installer. Other than reinstaling vista its self I dont have any idea what to do, please help in any way

SP2 basically "fixes" what's majorly wrong with SP1 and incorporates all of the updates to SP1 code into its package so there's no need to sweat missing stuff if you're moving on up to SP2. This is why you don't have to do any updates immediately after installing SP1 before moving right on to SP2. If it's supposed to be fixed or updated in SP1, SP2 addresses it and if SP2 doesn't address it then you still get updates to SP2.

So, uh... yeah. Install SP2. Don't bother trying to "fill out the list" of SP1 updates. It's a waste of time and drive writes.

I've already installed SP2, the problem is that I can't uninstall it, the option is not availiable at all.

Ah. I'm going to get mad flak for suggesting this, but did you try installing SP2 anyway?

Over-writing the files and things would certainly be a little dangerous in certain performance regimes and yield some unstabilities, sure, but I bet the OS would still run.
