Hello haleikari,

I had a very problem about a year ago.

I was able to get the computer to perform a system restore point after I reset my RAM.

By resetting the RAM, I was referring to physically taking out the memory cards and replacing them. When doing this, obviously make sure your computer is disconnected from any power source. The cards are usually pretty easy to remove, usually it only requires un-clipping the cards.

If you feel uncomfortable doing this, I would suggest calling your computer's manufacturer's support center for a walk-through.

Thanks Stoneys-nuts, but I tried that first but didn't have any luck, I also tried last good configuration. Any other suggestions? Thank you< i'll keep trying before I use the reset to factory settings. I just hate to loose all that software I downloaded and paid for.

You should not lose anything. If you paid you must have been given a key, the key will work if you try to install, again.
