My home computer wants to install 1 of 1 update all the time I can do it 10x a day and it never stops. It says that the update fails and has an error code 80070017. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Set up to notify, not to install. Then when this pest comes back to visit, just right click and set to hide. Then if you want, you can reset to install. I think notify is best. You can choose which updates to install.
If the update is security or important and you actually want it
Run SFC command
System Files - SFC Command
Run a scan disc error check
Check Disk - chkdsk
Perform a disc cleanup
Disk Cleanup
how do you set up to notify and not install?

Hidding update isn't any solution -surly in future you will have problems with other updates too.If post 2 doesn't solve problem I strong recommend diagnose your hdd by using manufacturer tool Bootable Hard Drive Diagnostics - Vox
verify SMART of disk.
