Settings gone to get extra updates

Vista 64 Ultimate, been running perfect for ages never have any problems, until I noticed my Windows Update settings in "change Settings” have changed for some reason. When we first install vista we have two options:-

1. Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates
2. Allow all users to install updates on this computer

Well that’s until it installs Windows Update Agent in the first updates, then the "change Settings" gives you more settings for ultimate extras and other options.

Well now it's gone so I can not get any optional updates for software or ultimate extras. I know I can change it to "Download Update Automatically". But I prefer to vet them first as I have it set to “Check for updates but let me choose weather to download and install them”. I do not have a full time Internet connection and large downloads on a dongle are a joke or should I say it’s just a rip off full stop.
There has to be a way to get the settings back but I can not find it and I have every manual going. I also can not see it not being a problem other people have seen. The Registry is all ok and my OP system is well maintained and looked after, cleaned and what not?
Any of you guys seem this problem or no how to sort is out I’d be grateful.

Simon
