    error 643

    Hello,
    I just tried installing updates for netframework and got error 643
    Can any one lead me in the direction to where i can fix this?

    First, please check that you need the updates for the .NET software or you have it installed at least!

    Have a look at this Microsoft Support tutorial :
    When you try to install an update for the .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, or 3.5, you may receive Windows Update error code "0x643" or Windows Installer error code "1603"

    Steps to fix error 643:

    1. Disable User account control.

    2. Do a clean boot.

    3. Click on this link: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/arc...8/8904493.aspx
    Download the .net framework clean up utility . Run it twice.

    4. Restart the computer.

    5. Go to, www.microsoft.com/downloads and install the .Net framework version 4 directly.

    I bet the issue is gonna get fixed.
