Vista Automatic Update Problem
I have a Dell laptop running Vista. Last week, Vista said it wanted to automatically upgrade my computer. I said Okay. It needed to reboot to finishing installing the upgrade.
It got to 3 of 3 and 0% complete and stalled. After a couple of hours I did a hard shutdown. When I rebooted it got stuck at the same place. Then I did a hard shutdown again. Then I rebooted in Safe Mode. It still got stuck at the 3 of 3 and 0% complete mark and will go no further. What else can I try?

Re: Vista Automatic Update Problem
How old is your computer? I'd recommend you turn it on and leave it alone to do those updates overnight and see if it's still stuck there in the morning. Some of those take a ridiculously long time, although unless you have a really old computer, they shouldn't be taking hours without showing any progress. But it's still possible.
