I've had this issue for many months now, when I click shut down.. it goes to the light blue "Shutting down" screen then tells me it's installing update 1 of 36 or something ridiculous like that. The problem is.. I've left it on before, overnight, and when I woke up.. It was still at update 1.
So I now just manually shut it off when it gets to the "updating" part, this can't be good for my PC, so I decided to try and disable these updates.
This guide looked very promising:
Disable the “Install Updates and Shut Down” Option in Windows | TipsFor.us
But because of my OS, I don't have the Local Group Policy Editor.
Is there a way to do this via regedit?
Thanks.
