    Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 Failed error 2

    This appears to be a language pack error. Failed to update error 00000002 What is that even mean? I typed in this error code here and get no matched results 130 views so far and no one has any idea? HeLp? And thank you!

    try to disable the firewall, check if there is any other security software , you should not have more than 1 security software. email me if the problem persist again

    Thanks for your reply. I come from owning a Mac G4 tower to my first Windows machine which is this lappy.

    I don't understand your suggestion. What does it have do to with this Security Update. I only have Micro Security Essentials.

    The error code is suggesting a lack of a language pack. What is a language pack? Shouldn't my machine already have a lang. pack? All the other Micro .NET Framework 2,3,4, have updated fine.
