    help? service pack 1 problem

    hi all have toshiba laptop.i did the recovery disc thing,now updating the Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (KB936330)..it show that it has downloaded 3 times in download history.when i check for update it wants to download again..i have tried the downloadable fix but it wont download ..please any help thanks rick

    Welcome rick . please try this standalone sp1 for your issue. It has worked for many having your issue. Post back with results please.

    wow thanks that work great,AND I NEED THE HELP i downloaded 75 more and now stuck with this error....FAILED 80070641 CODE 641...THANKS YD

    Was that related an update error.. error code 641 shows : ERROR_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN

    641 (0x281)

    The system is in the process of shutting down.

    System Error Codes (500-999)

    Restart computer and select ms updates and see what happens now.. post back pls..

    Do this . Run Ccleaner and clean out temp files.. and then restart and then try to see what updates are needed.. and only do 10 or so at a time.. restart as needed.. for them to take effect.. as some depend on others .. post back .. I will be up for awhile longer.. if you do it tonight .

    Try running this to see if you have corrupt or missing files pls. : System Files - SFC Command
