Vista Ultimate x64 Update Errors

Hi,

I have tried searching for answers to this problem (here and through Google and the Microsoft site) and no luck with the suggestions. When trying to run Windows Update I get the error code 80072F8F I also get this when trying to update Windows Defender: 1.1.1505.0

My system clock is correct along with the BIOS clock. I have run sfc /scannow a few times and it reports nothing. I really do not want to reformat and reinstall. Especially since this install is only a month old.

Anyone here have suggestions how to fix it other than making sure that the system clock is set correctly?

You probably have already checked but you should have the correct time-zone and date set. If they are all correct i can't see why its still wrong

Yup timezone is correct along with the date (just double checked). It stopped updating about two weeks ago.
