Windows Mail error - desperate!

Hi,

My problem is using Windows Mail on mobile broadband via USB - it works fine on wireless.

The same USB stick worked on my old Dell laptop via Outlook Express, but it has never worked with my current Sony laptop on Windows Mail. The USB works in other laptops and I have gone through full IT/tech support with the mobile broadband provider and they have told me they can do no more, and that the problem is relating to my laptop's security.

The error message is as follows (removed account/server details for privacy preference):

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'XXXXX', Server: 'XXXXX', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Can anyone please help? I pay for the mobile USB service every month but have only been able to use it for mobile internet searching, not email, which is what I want it for!

I had thought from reading other posts it is to do with the SSL, but when I turn on required SSL it changes the SMTP to 25 and POP3 to 995. This does not work with the USB or wirelessly.

Many thanks,

A
