In the last few days i've noticed that after I login into my hotmail account the favicon (the icon located before the web address and on the the ie tab) isn't the typical windows flag logo but is the windows live mail logo. There are a few times when I login and it displays the flag logo but for the most part it displays the windows live mail logo. Does anyone know why this is happening? Did they change the logo recently or can it have something to do with the fact I have used windows live mail with that email address. Also I checked it with another computer and the live mail logo doesnt display. Any help would be appericated thanks.

That might be a Hotmail idiosyncrasy. Have you tried Firefox?

I hate to sound dumb but what does idiosyncrasy mean? I have tried firefox but i did try it on another computer and it displayed the windows flag logo everytime.

It means that hotmail has its own behaviour that randomly changes and defines it. Try firefox. If not, do you see a compatiblity icon in the url? It could just be IE8.
