compacted windows mail

I hope somebody can help me.
I have compacted my emails with the feature of compact mail every 100 times i shut down the program, but i need to retrive some of those emails, which I can not find them.
I would appreciate if somebody can teach me how.

Compacting Windows Mail just compresses the spaces between emails. It does not move your emails. It does not change your emails. It does nothing at all to your emails. If some emails are missing, it was not caused by compacting.

If you've lost some e-mails (as seems to be the case), it was caused by something else. When did this happen? How many have been lost? Are your emails backed up on the email provider's server or deleted and downloaded to Windows Mail? Do you have backups you can use to recover the lost emails?

I hope this helps explain what didn't happen at least. What did happen is still a mystery. Whether or not they can be recovered remains to be seen. Your answers will help.

Please turn that "compact" feature back on. It has absolutely nothing to do wih your missing emails.
No guarantee, try this....
Go to the folder which is supposed to store those missing emails, click it > menu bar at top, View > Current View > Show All Messages.
