Walked my father through downloading (over the phone) with his Windows 10 laptop and Chrome browser. When he clicked on a couple of files no confirmation/navigation windows popped up and I eventually realized Chrome had automatically downloaded them. Just wanted to confirm that the option for a confirmation/navigation window in Settings is not the default one. It's been ages since I installed Chrome.

I have Windows 10 and under settings the only option for download is a box to check. The box indicates that you want to be asked each time, where to download. Mine is not checked and I do not get a confirmation.
