Hi there. I posted threads about getting bsod'd while playing online games and i did what i was advised and it worked. The blue screen never came up for a while until 3 days ago...and now, once again, i'm getting blue screened while i play games. Being a person who likes to play online everyday and not have any interruptions, this is very very annoying for me. I only get about ten minutes of play and then baaaam!!!! bsod. I dont know why its happening? i retried fixing it the way i was advised before but it didn't work this time. please can anyone help me as i cannot take this Blue Screen Crap No More!!!

The first one was corrupt and could not be read.
The second one is inconclusive, it points to a Windows system file, but it cant read which one.

Can you download "HijackThis" and run it, zip it up and upload it, it will tell us what you have running on your system.
What information there was, points to a driver. Have you installed any new software/hardware ?.

You have components of AVG 8 running along side Avast, this can sometimes cause a problem, so you need to un-install any and all AVG files.
Try running a search, (for AVG bits) after un-installing all the AVG files.

Run "msconfig", go to startup tab and uncheck, Regcure, and lightscribe. (these will start manually when needed).

When you are gaming, is it always through steam ?, if not, uncheck that too. (again that will start manually).

Theres nothing that jumps out and says it's "me" that is wrecking this PC, so it may be a bit hit and miss.

Download and run this freeware registry cleaner, just to clear out a few orphan entries.

CCleaner - Download

Backup your Registry when prompted.

Try what i have said and if you still get problems, upload the minidump file with a new hj log with your next post.
Good luck.

Open task manager, Ctrl/Alt/ Del, and check that there is nothing running under AVG. Then try and un-install.
If that doesn't work, try safe mode.
I was going to suggest Revo un-installer, but that will only un-install full programs.
If it comes to it, i would re-install the program and use Revo to un-install it. (it's free).

OK so i got rid of the avg. Un-ticked Regcure and lightscribe in the start up menu, restarted the computer and then waited for the comp to load up. Then i tried playing counter strike, and about 15mins into my game, BSOD....anymore suggestions?

This one was caused by "High Definition Audio Function Driver".
Check to see if you have the latest drivers from Realtek for your system.
It will be interesting to see what causes the next one.
If you get a different one next time, then i would suggest using just one stick of ram at a time.
Just to eliminate it.

OK I've checked the drivers for the sound and stuff and all drivers are up to date? i use the uni blue driver scanner to search and it came up with all drivers are up to date? then i went into "Computer Management" and checked there and it said the same thing? so i dont know how it is the driver? i updated everything and retried playing online games again, and got blue screened again? Do i have to send you another minidump file? because there is no new one available?

If you know the hardware model number, search the drivers on google or something. don't rely on those automated driver "updaters" to do it for you. Usually they mess up.
