Has This Happened Once or more?

win32k.sys has caused the error.Random BSOD-screenshot_2-png Reading from this online pdf the sys is the Kernel side of the Windows Sub Sytem and its somthing to do with the GUI (graphical user interface).

When you get a BSOD, the file responsible for the crash is listed near the end of the BSOD. What is it?

    Re: Random BSOD

Normally, if one doesn't get the BSOD screen, it means the CPU is overheating. For other causes, the screen normally displays long enough to read it (maybe it depends on the system). For overheating, one would normally just check to see if the fan or vent is dirty.

One can download a utility to read the file created when this happens but, I'd have to look for where the file is stored. You can also look in the Event logs in Control Panel.

The mini-dump files from the BSOD are stored here-

    C:\Windows\Minidump

You can download and run the BlueScreenView from here-

BlueScreenView - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Right click on a dump file and select it. The files associated with the problem will be highlighted.
