ageofempires2/ both

ok i updated all graphics software ati,amd
i installed dx8,9,9c,sdk from ms downloads
also installed directdraw6.1a from the ageofkings cd, set as administration settings
compatibility set at windows 2000
the game runs great by it's self now

i opened 2300-2400 ports specified by ms support, allowed game to run through
firewall, opened ports for other game servers.

i just cannot play multi-player online
i get "drive path/file is not set correctly for age of empires2"

any one with help answers for getting the game to run in multiplayer?

did you try updating the game itself? often different versions of games wont talk to each other.

k i use 640 resolution, also
the game is updated all the patches. installed
a few times i get the error cannot load graphics system for age of empires2.
the server i can't play on is game spy for this game. all others work.
1.0c,2.01c for both games.
