External Hard Drive: Disk Cleanup

I just tried cleaning up my hard drive to conserve resources. I have a Seagate external drive to keep regular backups. Problem is that I've uninstalled several useless programs and emptied out most of the needless documents that wasted space. My HD is 111 GB. I've used almost 70 GB. Uninstalling programs didn't help much. Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be to delete all your system restore points except the last one if you have regular backups on an external HDD.

This might not be the smartest of questions. I was thinking about using an external hard drive for gaming, and I was wondering if it would utilize my ram and graphics card as well as the original hard drive. The original drive is a super multi format with dvdrw and labelflash. I've had problems with rw drives and games before, and now fallout 3 won't even install.

Should I do this? Is it worth the cost? Thanks for any input.
