Hello,

We can help. Before I post how to fix these, before I post the usual methods, I would like to know what .dlls you deleted, and in particular, which .dlls are giving you problems.

Thanks!

Richard

All three of these files are viruses themselves. If you are getting errors relating to them, it may be that you have removed the files, but not the registry data associated with them. Allow me to have a shallow look first?

Please post a HiJackThis log from here: HijackThis - Trend Micro USA

and a MBAM log from here: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware: Malwarebytes

This looks like quite a nasty infection, but we may as well have a shallow look first. The MBAM log should be the free edition, and a Quick Scan.

Have a look at this to see if these files are mentioned here: Registry Initiated Startup Programs - Windows 7 Forums If they are, then you are getting the messages because the files can no longer be found. You should remove the entries by following the instructions in the post.

Hello again,

STEP ONE:

tfc_icon.png
TFC (Temp File Cleaner) - Download here or here - Homepage
Why? This will remove unneeded temporary files from your system, make automated scans that follow run faster, and save you time. Many infections also load from a temporary file location.
  • Download TFC to your desktop, or other location.
  • Save any unsaved work. TFC will close all open application windows.
  • Double-click TFC.exe to run the program.
  • If prompted, click "Yes" to reboot.
Save your work. TFC will automatically close any open programs, let it run uninterrupted. It shouldn't take longer take a couple of minutes, and may only take a few seconds. Only if needed will you be prompted to reboot.

STEP TWO:

Hello again!

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Carefully check the boxes next to all the entries listed below (if they still exist):
Code:
[B]O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Ygafazayuju] rundll32.exe "C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\utas2d19.dll",Startup

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [EWABQAF7KL] C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\Temp\Gqh.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Edimizewu] rundll32.exe "C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\osaxates.dll",Startup[/B]
Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Close HiJackThis. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):

Viewpoint Manager
Viewpoint Media Player
Viewpoint Toolbar

Please note any other programs that you don't recognize in that list in your next response.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these files (if present):

C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\utas2d19.dll
C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\Temp\Gqh.exe
C:\Users\Babs\AppData\Local\osaxates.dll

After that, Reboot, and post a new HijackThis log here in a reply, and tell us what problems remain.

Thanks!

Richard

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click on the Everything Tab. Look for the three .dll files and when you find them uncheck the boxes to stop them from starting at startup. Check the whole list as there may be more than one entry. When done, click OK and reboot. The messages should be gone.

If that doesn't work, try a clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit causing the problem. Follow the procedures in the article. Once found, delete, remove, deactivate, or uninstall it. Once done be sure to reset Vista back to normal status as explained in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal status and reboot - this solution is not going to work.

After done with that, do the malware checks suggested above as these are almost certainly remnants of malware that was mostly but not entirely removed by your present security software and getting rid of whatever remains should be done (although the risk is now minimal because the program isn't working which is why you were getting the message).

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
