We are all volunteers and work as quickly as we can. You should not be impatient after 30 minutes.

That being said I will try to help

Try the procedure in the first tutorial
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/161046-windows-sidebar-gadget-not-displayed-correctly.html

Then If above does not work run this 3 times if errors are found
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html

Works the same in Seven as Vista
If you are removing a gadget per the tutorials above, remove and then boot and then reinstall

The procedure that works for me is to remove, per tut above. Then boot and enable again.

Although the excellent advice from Richard above will most likely resolve the problem with your gadget, here is one alternative recommendation and other weather gadgets to consider in case you might prefer to try something different (and that may resolve the problem simply by installing and using one of them as they are different gadgets).

Do you know when this problem began? Especially if recent, try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.

Whether or not any of the above resolve the problem, you may simply want to consider a different weather gadget instead of the one you've been using. It may both resolve the problem and possibly offer features the one you're using doesn't have. Here are some options I've found:

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Run the SFC command as I posted. It will either fix or give information.
SFC will fix corrupted files.

Restart, see if it's changed.
