Programs and Features box blank, veiw installed updates box is empty.

i have had this issue for many months and its time to fix it. when i got to add remove features the box is blank and when i go into view installed updates it says, there are no updates installed. i also get windows update error 80070490. i ran the system update rediness tool and looked at the check SUR.log and says:

i have tried this and it hasnt helped, will i have to do a repair install and if so how, do you boot from cd then click on repair

Could you upload a copy of your sfcdetails.txt file from the yellow TIP box at the top of that tutorial?

We'll be happy to take a look at it to help see what the SFC scan was not able to fix, and give suggestions on it. :)

the file is too big. i tried to do a repair install but i need to uninstall windows power shell and i cant because the veiw installed updates box is empty, i think there is no fix.
