If I change my operating system to linux, can I still use windows' system restore?

If I change my operating system to linux and delete my old operating system entirely, will I be able to still use system restore to change my old operating system back?
Please help. All help is appreciated.

The simple answer is no. If you remove an OS then you can not use it to do a restore because it is no longer there to run the restore program. What I would recommend would be to have a duel boot system.

Well, you can actually do this if your hard disk has an NTFS partition on it. If you've wiped the whole drive and made it Linux, then you can't. If you have a recovery CD or USB drive, such as WinPE + Macrium Reflect installed, you can do a full image restore booting from that CD/USB-drive to the NTFS partition.

But Linux doesn't require a lot of space. Better off having two partitions and a dual boot arrangement.
