Hey guys, I'm new here. I'm having trouble with the vista computer. It was working fine last night abit slow, ma dad went on it, woke up this morning, it starts throwing a fit, freezes when I try to open anything... I try to open up the start menu and a black bar appears in its place, the cursor shows the loading symbol, and that's it.... I can move the cursor, however nothing responds. It just stas with the loading cursor, the desktop has a white film thing over it.... It opened it in safe mode did an anti virus scan of the hard drive- didn't work- then I did a command sfc scan it repaired some drives, but the same thing keeps happening.... Please help

Download and run a full scan with malwarebytes.
If you cannot do this, try a clean boot to diagnose the problem

If these do not work, go back with a system restore to before the problem

can i do that in safe mode? because the computer wont allow me to scan in normal

Give it a try in safe mode. I would give the clean boot a try, too, it may give us big clues as to the cause.

how do you do a clean boot? i am somewhat of a novice to computers, i know very little

i did the Malware* scan and it brought nothing up, said everything was ok, imma try the clean start up now
