Restore the first system from the second system in my computer?

Hi,

Today, after I left my computer for a while, the screen became black as expected. However, I could not open the system again after I pressed whatever key, even switched off and on no help! What I could sometimes see was the small "out of range" window.
Fortunately, I got two systems (both are Vista) in my computer and I logged into the second system successfully.

My questions would be:
Do you think I should restore the first system? And how to restore the first system from the second system?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I would need to know more about how you had your computer set up.
Do you have two partitions and an operating system on both and they are both Vista
You want to restore only one or keep two but restore one
Do you use any programs like Macrium Reflect to back up your computer with

Weakest part of my computer is the graphics chipset.
    Only ever used a laptop.
Also use USB Freeview TV Card
    Lenovo Docking Station
    External Speakers
Other bits a pieces as needed
On the one that is not working, press F8 to get to the Advanced Boot Options menu then select Enable low-resolution video (640x480) or try Last known good configuration.

If you used low res mode then you can set the resolution to what it should be ionce you get to the desktop.

To ilikefree,
Thank you for your helps.

I got two systems (both are Vista, but I don't know if they are the same or not, perhaps a little bit different) independently builded in two partitions.
I don't know any programs like Macrium Reflect to back up.
I need to restore only one Vista system, and I managed to restore it now by:
F8 ->repair your computer -> select a user -> System Restore

Now, I also managed to set the energy save to NEVER and hope the "out of range" problem wont happen again. However, the "out of range" still not be solved!

Sorry, I mean I hope the "out of range" problem wont happen again because the computer will never go to energy save mode, but the "out of range" still not be really solved!
