I ran Chkdsk on 8-15. I was able to go to Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Application/Find and do a search for both Wininit and Chkdsk and found both items.
I ran a Chkdsk scan the evening of 8-28, looked for the results in the Event Viewer and it was not there. When I engaged the "Find" option it went to that 8-15 scan.
I ran it from a command line on 8-28 and thought maybe I had done something wrong, so I ran Chkdsk again this morning by clicking Computer, right clicking C Drive/Properties/Tools/Error Checking and selected both options. I then restarted and watched while the scan began. I left for the day and this evening I again went to Event Viewer to find the log for this scan and again, it is not there.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or why I can not find these logs?
