Sleep Mode –
My PC (Dell XPS 420) will not automatically go to Sleep Mode. It will work manually. I use Vista. What seems to work is if I restart my PC the auto Sleep Mode usually will work after the restart. But, if I start to use the PC and do not restart, the auto Sleep Mode does not work unless I restart again.
I found one post that said to reinstall the driver. I was not sure which driver I should reinstall. Further search said the driver could be found under System Utilities. I have the drivers’ DVD that came with my PC. So, on that disc I found this:
Miscellaneous Utilities
Dell OS Tools Rev Aoo, R140593
I downloaded that driver, and it did not fix the problem.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerry
