Dual Monitor Not Holding Settings with latest 180.48 NVIDIA

Not sure if anyone else seeing this problem. I run a dual Monitor set-up and that has been fine with previous drivers. Since installing 180.48 yesterday, when I reboot or start-up, it all defaults to a single monitor and messes up my icons. Fault appears to be on the NVIDIA part of things, as it loses the tick in the second Monitor under the NVIDIA Control Panel "Set Up Multiple Displays". It doesn't lose the tick in "Do Not USe SLI Config".

OK, solved this myself. It seems PhysX is the culprit. I am aware you can't use SLI with two monitors, so have had that off, but I did have PhysX enabled. When I turn that off, re-boots are perfect with both monitors holding their settings.

If I put the machine to SLEEP at night, then on waking it was OK with the PhysX enabled, but that wasn't worth the hassle of any rebott losing the settings.

So if you have Dual monitors, turn off PhysX.

You can use SLI with 2 monitors with the latest drivers.

It now works, so that you can connect 2 monitors to the primary graphic card and enable dual monitor setup.

Nope, that doesn't work for me. When you select the SLI, it says you have to have both monitors plugged into the same GPU. As this is a 9800GX2, I only have two outlets from the cards, so unless I go to a Dual-Head-To-Go, I am not sure how this is going to work?? Note with a DH to-go, you have always been able to have SLI on both monitors, so I am not sure what the 'new drivers' you say are doing for me with respect to dual monitors?

Ah yea sorry, wasn't aware you had a GX2. The drivers enable dual monitors on SLI with dual cards, so my 8800 could have 2 monitors connected to the primary card with SLI enabled, so unfortunately for GX2 users, they can't really benefit from this.

No matter, maybe NVIDIA will get is sorted for GX2's and dual monitors

Appreciated your input and enjoyed rearranging my icons, again! <grin>
