Unable to access certain websites?!

Hello,

I have been recently very disappointed with Vista, because I am unable to access certain websites. Some samples sites:

GIGABYTE - Upgrade Your Life
www.godaddy.com

There's a ~ 25% chance that when I try to open eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices it will not work either.

So what happens? I will get a timeout response. The host will not response to me. When I try to PING www.godaddy.com as administrator I get:

Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>PING www.godaddy.com

Pinging www.godaddy.com [208.109.132.201] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Reply from 208.109.132.201: TTL expired in transit.
Reply from 208.109.132.201: TTL expired in transit.

Ping statistics for 208.109.132.201:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 3, Lost = 1 (25% loss),

C:\Windows\system32>

Before I moved to use Vista, I did not have these issues with XP. Also the modem I use (Zyxel Prestige something) is used one two other computers and they can access those websites fine (they are running on XPs).

What could be the problem?

Have you performed any sort of autotuning disabling on your machine, or else 'tweaked' the TCP/IP settings?

When I ping godaddy I get a TTL 112, so if you have set yours lower than that it is obviously going to time out.

FWIW, Vista doesn't do well with tweaked TCP/IP settings like XP does - it has an autotuning feature that dynamically changes the values for various settings n the TCP/IP stack as needed, thereby making the need for tweaked TCP/IP settings a thing of the past.
