Since I have been home for holiday break, I've been having incessant connectivity issues on my relatively new gateway laptop. I see frequent, random disconnections with no real explanation. Most often I get the "problem with network adapters" error, but I have seen a few others that tell me there are no detected networks or that I simply "cannot connect to wireless network." I've read some threads on this forum that address similar issues, but I have yet to find a solution. Currently I can't even connect through ethernet and I am completely and utterly baffled; in truth it has been all I can do not to throw my router, laptop, and myself out of my second floor window.
I use a NETGEAR WGR614v7 router with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit OS.
I'd like to get this resolved before I return for spring semester without internet connection, so please offer some insight as soon as possible. I just hope this isn't a result of some hardware failure. Thank you.
