You might be better off giving Open Office a shot.. I'm not sure Office 97 is compatible with Vista

Office 97? Didn't know people still used that! If you don't want to try Open Office then try Office 2000, 2003, or 2007.

I remembering reading somewhere that only Office 2003 & 2007 works in Vista. Time to upgrade Office, JLH or install Open Office. I've seen Office 2007 Home & Student for as low as $100, perhaps lower. Open Office is free, and is completely compatible with MS Office files.
