Solved A couple of Video questions

Well I got a couple of queries about media players and video format........
Firstly I would like to know what video format is the smallest in size and can be viewed in KMplayer. I want to save more disc space, and I feel like this is one way, and also the audiio files, what is the smallest audio type...

I also got an error when I start my KMplayer...I can still play tjhe files its just that this little popud aooears at every video and audio file...???

Can anyone shed any light on this code????

Thank you for your patience.....

MP3 for the audio format. MKV for the video format - it's not very common and I'd recommend that you install the K Lite codec pack so you can handle the files

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack

1. Go to: Free-Codecs.com :: Download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 7.2.0 : The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack includes the K-Lite Codec Pack Full, QuickTime Alternative, Real Alternative support and Monkey's Audio DirectShow decoder.
2. Scroll down to find the link that will "Download [ K-Lite Mega Codec Pack X.X.X ]" where the X.X.X will be the version number
*If the link doesn't work then choose one of the links with "MIRROR" written next to it*
3. Click on it and save the file to your documents
4. When it finishes downloading, find the file and run it

Now we have to install the program:

1. Click Next
2. Check "Advanced Install" and click Next
3. Click Next
4. On the drop down menu, select "Profile 8: Lots of stuff (without player)" and click Next
5. Click Next
6. Click Next
7. Check the "Windows Media Player" box and click Next
8. Check both of the boxes:
-"Video file extensions:"
-"Audio file extensions:"
and click Next
9. Click "Select All" and click Next
10. Click Next
11. Click Install

As for the KMPlayer problem, once you've installed that codec pack you'll be able to play 99% of all video and audio formats in Windows Media Player so there's not really much need for it. If you really want it then uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller and reinstall it

MKV probably has the capability for the most compressed storage, but it still depends on the size and quality of the video (length, fps, resolution, bitrate etc) if you really want to shrink your file storage, get a converting program that will let you control some of these. I've heard Handbrake is very good at this. Personally, I use Free iPod Video Converter - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Downloads because of it's shear simplicity. (It's not mkv format, but mp4 is still pretty good)
