address book

i backed up my pc and then i did a full recovery. I then restored all the files from the portable hardrive and i am missing the address book for vista mail. Does anyone one know the name of the file extension so i can find it in the backed up C drive or how to find it ? thanks.

Contacts in Windows 7 is .vcf, I assume it is the same in Vista

thanks ! nothing came up and i believe vista is different than 7. I went into my current windows mail which only has a few contacts and clicked properties on one and the file that comes up is .contacts. I searched my portable hard drive and all my email came up but i didn't see a contact folder. My portable hard drive (HP) automaticaly backs up the PC but not every type file and you have to put the unusual ones in. Is it possibly i simply lost the address book on the back up i did because the file .contact was unusual ?
