ASP.NET is now admin!! disaster!!

Disaster has struck, after windows reccommended i should have a standard account..i downgraded my own logon to standard..but seemed to give ASP.NET authorization to be ADMIN!!! NOW i cant update, anything including windows defender..without first getting past ASP.NET by putting in a password...that i DONT HAVE!!?
I had thought this would be easy to fix but as time has passed, i have discovered that i am in an impossible situation, as my hands are tied, and i can do nothing with the computer as it is...please someone HELP ME..
I have tried to activate another admin account but again i need to get past ASP.NET.. And tried safe mode and also system restore, but no restore points available...XP was so much better!
If i have to re install vista from the partition, what do i do with my programmes on the computer - can they go on the d drive where the vista partition is...? and re instal later..

desperate!!! Gregor..

I can get your stuff if all else fails, but every computer has a restore partition. You can restore to factory specs. Like the day you took it home. No updates, pics, files, settings etc.
If interested, give me the name and mfg of your computer
IE. Dell xps 420.

Hi Richard. its an ACER 5920 running home premium... I kind of thought i'd have to do this at some point...as their are no restore points from before disaster..
A password reset bootable cd programme is available from different companies..it that an option?

My Computer

During boot try pressing (many times and quickly) f10 and alt
This should restore you to the way it was when you took it home. No updates, documents etc.
I dont think that the reset may help. We have tutorials on the subject. Usually they let you reset if you know the password, but does not work

Im not sure what you mean i always thought i has to use the hidden partition to restore vista to my computer, which takes a bit more mucking around....or i have to restart - F8 then do the steps you suggest
or just when i switch on? funny one that...
cheers greg

The informatiion that I have given, should restore Vista. It will be restored to what is called factory specs. It will be restored to the way it was when you first took the computer home.
Based upon what I found in Google, for your model, you just hit the F10 and alt at the same time, rapidly during boot.

My Computer

Yes, its very easy.
Just use the DVD to install and follow screen directions
If you dont have a DVD and the software came preinstalled, called the company and see if you can get replacement DVDs at cost.
