Automatic System Restore

I just reinstalled from a Macrium Reflect Disk Image and everything on my box works great except that my System Restore does not work correctly. I can manually create restore points but, Vista won't make one during an update or installation of software automatically. Any ideas?

Thanks.

hi Marty,
Macrium, once installed sets priority for backups and restore. I use it as well, and as long as you set your scheduled backups in Macrium, you'll be fine. Just remember once you do your full backup again, do regular incremental backups as needed-before new software installs, registry cleans/tweaks,etc.. You can do differential backups as well if you choose.
Hope this helps.:)

Actually, I was able to solve this problem by opening up Disk Management and setting my C partition as Active. My problem with Microsoft's System Restore is now fixed and everything works fine.

Glad to hear it. I assume the partition was active prior to reinstall? I use Macrium regularly, and haven't experienced that.
