Hello,I switched my laptop on a few days ago and all of a sudden I got a bad image error for APSDaemon.exe "c:\progra~2\browse~1\23796~1.11\{16cdf~1\browse~1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using using the originl installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support." I don't have a clue what it is and when it has been downloaded, I have read that it is to do with Apple and iTunes, however I dont own an iPhone or even download music. After closing the error message a lot more bad image errors starting popping up. Any help on why and what this could be? Could it be down to memory? My memory is starting to run low, need to delete a few documents and programs. Appreciate any help on this thanks.

I recommend that you run the free malwarebytes just to make sure it's not malware in disquise.

I do not believe it is malware, I have Microsoft Security, PC Guard and Windows Defender switched on. I have unistalled the Apple program and still get the errors. Every time that I start a program I get a bad image error.

I don't know anything about PC Guard but the other 2 are not very good at protecting against malware. I still suggest running malwarebytes if for no other reason than to prove me wrong.

I was only informing of what I have on my laptop to prevent viruses and worms from infecting it. I did run the malwarebytes as you suggested to me and have found that I do have malware on my laptop. I have removed them and will now see how my laptop responds. There were 95 found a lot of them registry keys. Found few adware. I have been on this site before just forgot my other account and password. I do recommend this site to anyone that has any problems you guys in my opinion are the best :)

I still get bad image errors everytime I turn my laptop on or when I open a program. I have run the malwarebytes scan again and nothing was found.

Go to Windows Accessories. Find the command prompt. Right click on it and select "run as administrator".

Run SFC /scannow. Does it find any errors and fix them. If so, run it again.

Been busy so not been able to reply, I have run the scan. It did find errors but there were some that couldn't be fixed. Thinking back to when this started, I have not downloaded anything, the only thing I can remember is that I connected my blacberry to the laptop and it automatically created itself a drive :/ a week later I started getting these errors.

Go into disc management and delete the new drive and see if that helps.
Create a restore point first so you can return to how you are now if things get worse.

I was going to delete the new drive but it is no longer there. I can't seem to find it anymore. I get the bad image error for every program that I open, everything seems to be working after I close the message. Rather not have the message pop up every time I open a program.
