Big Problems with Vista

I have an Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Laptop with a probably rotten Windows Vista x.32 OEM version as OS and I can't boot my laptop anymore. I took one of the two hard disks out of the laptop and plugged it in as an external hard disk. The disk is recognized by BIOS.
I tried to use the self repairing option which didn't help.
I tried to use the command prompt option and got a blue screen.
I tried to use the starting option in safe mode and got a blue screen.
If I try to boot with a recovery boot CD, there is a line at the bottom of the screen saying "loading files" then the message disapperars and the screen remains black. The only possibility then to shut down is to take off the power supply.
The data is saved. I just want a working OS on my laptop. Perhaps somebody has an idea what I can do.

Hello, make a bootable disk and check that hard drive using a diagnostic program : HD Diagnostic

Welcome
After all else has failed, you can try to download Ubuntu. If it cannot download you have a hardware problem. If it can download its your operating system until further notice.

I forgot to write that I tried using an UBuntu boot disk and ended up in a shell with at least 20 error messages.
But thanks a lot anyway.

I don't know yet how to reply to each of you individually.
To Yard Dog: I tried to boot from an Ubunbtu disk.
To wither3: If I switch on my laptop I can see a menu in english (I have a german version of Vista) with 3 options (the same appears when everything works normally and the battery goes low).
1.) Start windows normally
2.) Start in save mode
3.) .. command prompt

I have another idea how the problem could be solved. I could plug the hard disk (the hard disk is readable) into my laptop I use at the office and then try out the repairing from the command prompt. I wonder if this is possible even though I have Windows 7
on my office laptop?

If I understand you correctly, the data on that hard drive is saved somewhere. You should be able to reformat the hard drive from Win 7 and then reinstall Vista on the laptop using the installation disc.

There may be a bigger problem if you can't run a Linux disc. I assume that's a bootable disc that doesn't access the hard drive. Perhaps Yard Dog or you can correct me.

Data from the hard disk is saved. Unfortunately I can't reinstall VISTA because I bought my laptop with an OEM version, I don't have installation disks.
