BOOTMGR is compressed...

i keep getting this error message everytime i try to press ctrl+alt+del.. which is what it says to do.. i didnt compress my hard drive. i have no idea whats going on! and i dont have the OS disk to reboot my computer. what do i do?

i tried rich's suggestion.. didnt work. the new error message is "diskette read failure no boot device available, press ENTER key to retry
sata-0: installed
sata-1: installed
sata-4: none
sata-5: none"

any suggestions guys?

Use the Windows 7 recovery disc - d/l the same bit version as the Vista you have installed:
