Burning cd's in itunes

I'm new to all of this so bare with please; I have been trying to burn a CD from itunes, and when I drag a file from a web page it says take no action, and when I do get one to drop on the itunes playlist, and click burn it says its not a file and cannot be burned, only files on your computers hard drive can be burned. Now I know this sounds easy, but I guess I don't even know how to get it on my hard except to save it, please help, thank you.

Are you trying to burn files from a cd/dvd? Where are those songs stored?

I'm just trying to burn info on cds to play in my truck, I tried from a web page, tried from document file, I am a little lost, I have done this before.

When I tried dragging from the desktop folder it had the take no action sign and did nothing.

Do not drag the files. Open iTunes and click on File>Add Folder to library. Then try to burn the songs to the library.
