i'm using (vista h/p 64bit) i found this in (task manager) under processes.

( Sink to receive asynchronous callbacks for WMI client application )

can someone please tell me what it is and what it's doing there. that is to say is it (spyware) or (phone home) software that is keeping track of what i'm doing and sending it back or what?

WMI is the Windows Management Interface, and is part of the operating system itself.

If you right-click on the entry in Task Manager, then select Properties, and then Details, you can se the Microsoft-embedded version information of the file.

To answer your question, it is not Spyware, and it is not Phone Home software either.
