Can you run Windows Vista on a i7-8700k PC?

Hello there.
Is it possible running Windows Vista which is 13 years old on a really new processor (intel core i7-8700)? I don't think it does since the OS is too old and the processor is too new for Vista. What do you guys think? Can you run Vista on a i7-8700k processor?

I think you are correct: Vista will not run on a core i7 unless the Intel microarchitecture is Ivy Bridge (3rd generation) or older.
